The Brief
A concept for a dining room that needed to work as part of an open-plan layout — visible from the kitchen, so the styling had to hold its own as a room in its own right while still reading as connected to the space next to it.
The Approach
The pendant light was chosen as the room's single statement piece, sized and positioned to anchor the dining table as its own zone within the open plan. The sightline into the kitchen was kept deliberately open, so the two spaces would feel designed together rather than as separate rooms that happen to share a wall.
The Outcome
A dining concept that reads clearly as its own space at the table, but doesn't fight the kitchen sightline it opens onto — the kind of resolved open-plan relationship that's difficult to judge from plans alone and easier to confirm in a 3D render before it's built.
