A residential kitchen finished with wood cabinetry and a granite worktop — a durable, classic material pairing chosen over engineered alternatives for a family kitchen that would see daily use.
The Approach
Granite was selected specifically for the worktop's heat and scratch resistance, since this is the surface that takes the most direct daily wear in any kitchen. The wood cabinetry was detailed to complement the granite's natural veining rather than compete with it — a decision made by viewing cabinet door samples against the actual granite slab before either was finalised, not by matching them from separate catalogue images.
The Outcome
A finished, durable family kitchen with wood cabinetry and a granite worktop that were selected and matched against each other directly, rather than sourced and assembled independently.
