About This Project
A full strip-out-to-finished office fit-out — demolition and ceiling grid work through to a completed reception, a meeting room with a red feature wall, and an open-plan floor.
The Brief
The client needed an existing office floor reworked into a functional open-plan workspace — a reception that reads well to visitors, a meeting room with real presence, and enough desk space for an open-plan team, all within the shell of an existing building rather than a new build.
The Approach
We started with a full strip-out: stripping the old ceiling grid back to the slab and reworking the corridor and reception framing from scratch. The ceiling grid and lighting layout were replanned before any finishes went in, which is what let the reception and corridor read as one continuous space rather than a patched-together retrofit. The meeting room's red feature wall was built as the anchor for the space — everything else (the glass partitions, the TV and credenza unit) was designed to sit quietly around it rather than compete with it.
The Outcome
The finished floor moved from bare ceiling grid and stud framing to a reception, corridor, meeting room, and open-plan office that all share one lighting and material language. The glass partitions keep the plan feeling open without losing the acoustic separation an office actually needs room by room.
